HOLIDAY SORROW PREAMBLE

Dear Sir,

We live in a country filled to overflowing with Freedom, Wealth, Education, Technology, and great monetary possessions and gadgets. In this wonderful land known as America we have the privilege to live so well and at such a pace, we tend to overlook seemingly unimportant things in our lives which under study are the very foundation and principals which were believed in and on which this country was founded, under God and his guidance. Much work and many lives through past years went into giving us a land which offers Life, Liberty, and the persuit of happiness, and a Constitutional Law to back it.

Each and every day we have many newcomers to our land because it offers freedom and a better way of life, but most do not know and cannot ever understand the religious backgrounds, the good moral fiber, the God fearing, law abiding, hard working, war fighting people who built this land and through lives and circumstance make this country great while trusting in God's guidance. We who remember life as it was, must strive to pass these things along, not only to new people in our country but to the younger generations who have been caught up in a nation of monetary wealth and a time when values, principals and freedom have taken on new meaning.

An incident whiched happened this last holiday season, while shopping in our Malls, was the incentive for the following poem, "Holiday Sorrow". I would appreciate it very much if you could print this and maybe bring joy to even one soul who does not know the foundation or reason we celebrate CHRISTMAS ....

HOLIDAY SORROW
